About Oak Knoll

Oak Knoll is a big school of over 600 students that feels small, personal, and focused on its mission. As you walk onto our campus, you will notice the focus is on the whole child. Learning is not limited to our classrooms, but is accessible everywhere.

You will see children of various ages working together, playing instruments, engaging in hands-on science, and utilizing technology as a learning tool. Our students take initiative—tending the school garden, producing the KNOL morning news, building structures in the Nature Zone, and even advocating for and building a Gaga pit using geometric principles!

At Oak Knoll, our mission is our blueprint. Exemplary scholars have a growth mindset. We teach Dr. Carol Dweck’s research so students understand that intelligence is grown through practice and perseverance.

Valued friends are compassionate. We emphasize inclusion and celebrate the unique differences, race, language, and culture of our diverse student body. Courageous citizens provide service to others, not as a special project, but as a regular part of what it means to be an Oak Knoll student.

Oak Knoll believes in the power of relationships. Teachers provide targeted instruction designed not only around academic goals, but as a critical time to deepen connections. Our staff collaborates closely to create a culture of incredible school spirit.

We are also fortunate to have a profound partnership with our parents. Parent volunteers spend countless hours supporting classrooms, programs, and events. Oak Knoll is truly a neighborhood school like no other!
