4th/5th Grade Science Olympiad
Each year, the Oak Knoll 4th and 5th graders have a blast competing in the Science Olympiad. The Science Olympiad usually takes place in May or June.
No, it’s not the Science Fair – it’s Science Olympiad. Think of a HUGE field day but with activities that have a scientific slant. This special day is held every year in late May and early June. 4th grade and 5th grade challenge themselves in 10 amazing events to show not only how smart they are but also how well they work as a team. From using a compass to find the treasure to building the tallest structure using straws, every student gets a chance to compete in events that challenge and inspire. And each 4th and 5th classroom picks a team name and color – spirit is just as important as science!
