5th Grade Clap Out
A beloved Oak Knoll tradition! Join us as we cheer on our graduating 5th graders on their final day of elementary school.
👏 The Tradition
A long-standing tradition is to bid our 5th graders farewell with a slide show in the gym and then “clap out” on the field. Clap out is where parents and friends line up around the track as each 5th grade child’s name is called to run through and be congratulated!
📸 Parent Guidelines
To make this event safe and fun for everyone, please note:
- Where to stand: Parents are invited to line the outer edges of the running track and designated walkways. Please leave the main track clear for the students!
- Bring the cheer: Posters, signs, and balloons are highly encouraged.
- Parking: Campus will be extremely busy for early dismissal. Please walk or carpool if possible, and park legally in the surrounding neighborhoods.
