Morning community movement club that encourages physical activity with students, staff and families on Friday mornings in the Fall and Spring. Members of the Oak Knoll community walk, jog, skip and run at the Oak Knoll track for 30 minutes before the school bell rings at 8:15am. Ollie Strides is filled with smiling faces, cheering volunteers and lots of Otter spirit.

Parents for Safe Routes
Works with the District and District-wide SRTS Committees to make our streets safer for kids to travel to and from school via bicycle, foot, scooter, etc. Also manages bike safety programs and activities.

Room Parent Program
Room parents support classroom teachers by recruiting parent volunteers who help in the classroom, chaperone field trips, and plan parties. Room parents also facilitate recognition activities during Teacher Appreciation Week, help build community among class families, and act as ambassadors of the school.

All volunteers at Oak Knoll, including coaches, need to be registered (including state-required fingerprinting) before working with students. Learn more about what is required to volunteer and to register by visiting MPCSD Volunteer Requirements. To get started, complete the Volunteer Registration Form. If you completed this form already, then you don’t need to do it again. In most cases, this form (including the fingerprinting) only needs to be completed once and is good for the duration of your time at Oak Knoll!
