PTO President Welcome Letter 2023/2024:
Oak Knoll Families,
On behalf of the PTO, I am excited to welcome you to this new school year! The last few years have truly shown the strength and resilience of our school community and proven what makes Oak Knoll so special–the strong partnership between the incredible teachers and staff and engaged families like yours. As a PTO, we strive to ensure that the sense of connection and belonging that the school works so hard to cultivate for each student is also extended to the entire family. We hope that you experience firsthand the welcoming and inclusive community that we try to foster. As teachers open their classroom doors for our kids on the first day of school, I encourage you to also take a courageous step, introduce yourself to fellow parents, and embrace the school community. After all…together is our favorite place to be and our community is richer when you are a part of it!
Here’s how you can get involved and what to expect as we kick off this new school year.
1. Mark Your Calendars and Join Us!
August 21, 3pm, Class assignments will be posted on ParentSquare.

2. Get Involved
There are many ways, large and small, to get involved at Oak Knoll. Volunteer in your child’s classroom by signing up with your room parents, or find new opportunities to help the PTO at the Welcome Back parent event on the first day of school or by completing an interest form here. You can also indicate your willingness to serve as a room parent for your child’s class here.
3. Please Donate to the One Community Campaign
Your donations have a direct impact in making Oak Knoll the amazing school and community that it is. In the coming weeks you will hear more about our annual One Community Campaign (OCC), which provides critical support as we invest in the long-term academic, physical, and emotional needs of our children. The OCC funds enable specialist teachers in areas like art, music, library, and PE; as well as the PTO’s ability to deliver curriculum enrichment, student events, and family events. Click here to donate today. We ask all families to contribute an amount that feels meaningful, with a suggested donation of $2,000 per student. Every donation, of any size, is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
