Otter Weekly

Our weekly electronic newsletter of school activities and announcements is distributed each Sunday evening via ParentSquare. This is the main source of communication between the school and parents.

Submissions: Email by 12:00 noon on Wednesday for the following Sunday publication.

Campus Signage

Keep an eye out for key news, upcoming events, and volunteer sign-ups posted around the school campus on the:

  • Banners on the school railings
  • Bulletin boards outside the main office

Parent Education

Regular informational meetings and educational events for parents on various topics of interest are held throughout the school year. Keep an eye out for specific event announcements highlighted in the Otter Weekly newsletter!

KNOL Broadcast

KNOL is broadcast directly from the Oak Knoll library to each classroom first thing every morning, Monday through Friday, during the school year. Students get to hear directly from their peers about what is going on in school that day!

The Menlo Park City School District directory is available securely through ParentSquare.

Paper Flyers

In an effort to go paperless and save costs, paper flyers are not regularly distributed to students. The PTO encourages electronic announcements linked via the newsletter or website.

Note: The general exception is for forms that must be filled out and returned to school. All paper flyers are subject to PTO approval.
